If everybody is doing it, doesn’t make it right or efficient

What is it like to be efficient in whatever we do?

What does it take to do something your way when everyone does it another way?

I don’t know because I don’t care.

For many years I have following everyone and living by the motto, “Fake it till you make it.” It’s bullshit. Do what you think is right and things that make you feel efficient. It’s a different story if it’s really efficient or not. Figure that out later.

Okay! just for an example. I don’t know how to tie shoelaces. making an 8 and loop it shit. I don’t do that. What I do is completely different. I make a knot first and then put the other end in the hole. For the longest time, I thought I am doing it completely wrong and stupid for not doing it the RIGHT way. you know what? F**k that shit.

Sure, my way takes a few more seconds to complete but I know that way works for me and that makes it ME.

So many times we have listened to and read the same thing again and again. Be Different. Be Unique. The crazy thing we don’t really is each one of us is different and unique. The effort we need to put in is doing things that work for us.

The eureka moment is when we realize that we are different because of this and that.

Work on that. Don’t search for it. Just do you and document. Sooner or later you will find yourself.
